Intruder Alarm Operating Instructions


Setting and Unsetting the System
  1. Before leaving the premises ensure that all doors and windows are closed that there is no other person remaining on the premises
  2. The green day indicator should be lit
  3. Press the full set button to activate the whole alarm, or part set to activate the part set facility.  The system will produce an exit bleep tone you have 30 seconds to leave the premises via the prescribed exit route
  4. On entering the premises the system will produce an entry bleep tone, enter the four digit code the entry tone will stop & the green day indicator will illuminate. (on entering the premises you have 30 seconds to enter your code before the alarm activates)
  5. If any zone or tamper indicator illuminates then the alarm will have activated and an intrusion may have taken place seek assistance before investigating any further as intruders may still be on the premises
  6. To omit zones:- enter the four digit code press the OMIT button press zone numbers to be omitted these indicators will now flash, press the SET button to set the system (DO NOT ENTER ANY ZONES THAT HAVE NOT BEEN OMITTED)

Contact the Alarm Engineer if:

  1. The red/green power light goes off
  2. The tamper light illuminates. The alarm system is protected by an anti-tamper system. If any wiring, detector, keypad, the alarm control-box and any device connected to the the alarm system is interfered with, the alarm will be activated. The user can then reset the alarm by entering the four digit code. The user will now be locked out of the system and you must now contact the alarm engineer.
